FETTLER's Crossing

Fettler’s Crossing is located in Wooroloo, 12 kms from Forge Farm and linked by the beautiful KEP track. The name is derived from the Fettlers who worked the railway line that once ran past the farm. The steel lines have been gone for over 50 years leaving only the track which winds through the hills, and is used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

Listed below are some of the activities we offer at Fettler’s Crossing. We also offer custom packages - please contact us if you would like to tailor an experience just for your group.

The beautiful limestone studio at Fettler’s makes an ideal venue for small celebrations.

Ride and Stay - Bring Your Own Horse

We have safe fences and paddocks, and places to store your tack and park your float. Alternatively, park your float at Forge Farm and ride up to Fettler’s Crossing - You may like to stop for lunch at the Chidlow Tavern on the way!

The KEP track runs right past the gate offering 78kms of riding with no road work. A fantastic venue for those wanting to bring their own horses.

Ride and Stay for Young Teens

Arrive at Forge Farm, select your horse and enjoy afternoon tea before setting off for Fettler’s Crossing. Upon arrival, everyone looks after their own horse (with our help), followed by a BBQ dinner, quizzes and board games.

In the morning, the horses are groomed and saddled up before the ride back. On return, there are games in the arena and lunch before pick up at 2pm.

Riders are required to leave mobile phones and electronic devices at home and enjoy being outside in nature. Instructors carry a phone for safety reasons.

We are members of the AHRC (Australian Horse Riding Centers). This ensures clean and safe premises, healthy and well-fed horses, full public liability insurance, safe equipment (compliant with current Australian standards), and instruction by accredited professionals (with current WWC and First Aid certificates).
